A few Case Studies of Healing
Many people who visit churches and healing centres may feel benefit from healing but there are no doubt others who feel they have not benefitted at all. Healers cannot and do not, claim to ’cure’ anything, but there are many surprising outcomes when healing energies are channelled.
- At a Healing Centre the writer served one woman who said she had attended healing centres periodically for several years with arthritis. The following week she told me she had come off painkillers (with her doctor’s consent, I hope). She came for a few more weeks, then stopped coming and has not been since. Hopefully, still without pain.
- At another Centre a man was suffering severe pain after a road traffic accident. The week after he received healing he reported he had likewise come off painkillers. After a couple more weeks he disappeared for about a year and
then came back saying that the pain had returned and that the only thing that had worked was the healing. He disappeared again after one session and has not been seen since. - At the same Centre a woman who had been coming for a couple of months said she had realized she had not had one of her previously frequent migraine attacks since receiving healing.
- At the first Centre two men suffering from schizophrenia who had come together and attended for several months reported that they had noticed a reduction in their anxiety levels which their illness had caused. Stress is frequently alleviated , whatever the cause, and is frequently given as the reason for seeking healing.
- At both centres severely depressed elderly ladies responded well to healing. One in particular looked as if she could have dementia, but after one session she smiled as she returned to her son. A few weeks later she was sitting chatting in a group of the other patients. The other lady was brought by a carer and attended for a couple of months also responded well.
- Several other depressed patients reported feeling ‘uplifted’ for the week after healing.
- A patient was brought by a friend to the writer’s flat suffering from terminal cancer and given healing. A week later the friend sought him out in the Spiritualist Centre and said that the patient had passed peacefully although prior to the healing she (the patient) had been distressed and terrified of dying. The friend was immensely grateful and the writer was gratified that she had made an effort to come to the church.
