Spiritualism is in fact a religion, recognised in 1951 by Parliament. It doesn’t stop the media to trivialising the work of mediums by declaring that television programmes featuring ‘paranormal phenomena’ and mediumship are for entertainment only, though.

Spiritualist mediums are trained to link to those in the spirit world to give ‘messages’ giving evidence of life after death. Often the message may seem trivial, but it can mean the world to the recipient of it.

What else can you expect?

1. As a religion in a registered Place of Worship we have a Divine Service in which we praise God with prayers and singing. We also have a short Philosophy frequently on one or more of our Seven Principles. This is on a Sunday at 3.00pm.
2. On Tuesdays at 7.30pm we have a Demonstration of Mediumship by visiting Mediums or sometimes an in-house Medium. See above for ‘Spiritualist Mediums’.
3. On Saturdays we have a session of Spiritual Healing between 11.00am and 1.00pm. Despite the name, you don’t have to be holy to enjoy or benefit from it. There is no need for an appointment, you can just turn up. We do not make a charge but ask for donations. After all we need money from our donations on Saturdays and Sundays and entrance charge on Tuesdays to pay the bills.
4. On The first Saturday of the month we have Private Sittings when you can have a one to one with a medium for half an hour. Appointments are necessary and you need to book in advance with a £5.00 deposit. On the day you pay an additional £15.00.
5. If you fancy a bit of fresh air and getting mucky hands, you could join the work party in the garden on Saturdays.
6. We also have classes and the occasional workshop if you would like to investigate Spiritualist activities further. Just ask for details.
